Nancy Wakefield
Nancy Wakefield is the founder of Serene Point Advisors LLC. After over 20 years working in many different areas of the personal finance industry, she determined that there was a lot missing from the traditional approach to financial planning. Under her leadership and since 2017, Serene Point has been challenging the usual well-worn conversation around planning. With the firm's Living Financial Plan, she and her team are bringing a refreshed approach to advice. She believes that your life plans should drive your financial goals, not a one-size-fits-all computer program or a well-rehearsed script.
Nancy is a CFP candidate and a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA®). She is a member of the Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts (IDFA) and the Oregon Association of Collaborative Professionals (OACP)
Jared Rasmussen
Jared started his financial services career in 1995 with Fidelity Investments as an equity trader. Over the next 25 years he built a strong foundation in personal finance while trading securities, helping small businesses with retirement plan services, advising clients on life insurance and annuities, and providing financial planning. He has a degree from the Southern New Hampshire University in psychology.

He joined Serene Point Advisors in 2020, bringing with him his skills and knowledge to develop relationships with individual investors and guide them through portfolio management and financial planning.
Jared and his wife Rebecca have five kids, most of them grown and flown. The Rasmussens prefer to be outdoors, especially if they can be near the ocean or on a lake. Jared loves to run, his favorite distance being the half marathon, but also competes in the Hood to Coast relays and other events in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
Kelly McDermott
Kelly joins Serene Point after a long career in financial services, beginning as an institutional broker in London and New York, and transitioning to the buy side as an analyst, a portfolio manager, and founder of her own hedge fund. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) and studied political economy and international relations at the London School of Economics. She has spent her career making financial decisions in a global macro framework with clients' individual goals and risk tolerance at the center.

Born into a family of builders, Kelly and her husband Mark have done many renovations, new builds, and rentals in Oregon and the Mountain West. She appreciates the different aspects of real estate as an asset class.
When she isn't managing portfolios or helping clients with planning, Kelly loves to be outside with her family running, hiking, climbing and generally being game to explore. With her son and daughter recently off to college, Kelly looks forward to traveling more and believes there is much to learn by spending time in other places speaking and listening to the people who live there.
